Basic Blue Construction is a VAT registered South African new small business enterprise that has been in existence for 2 years.

 

THE OWNER

 
 

Ferdi Baard, a married 33-year old South African citizen realised his dream when he registered Basic Blue Construction in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, South Africa.

Having been in the building and renovation industry for 15 years, this entrepreneur started his career off as a young boy under the watchful eye of his school teaching headmaster father who also taught him the ropes and basic principles of building and construction.

Whilst his friends were out playing, Ferdi was under constant supervision assisting his father in various building projects.

 

Having received formal training in Travel and Tourism, he opted to leap back to his passion and hands on approach of building.

 

He started his first large project as a Project Manager of community housing in the Easter Cape.

After meeting his wife Robyn, he moved to Mpumalanga and after a few months of adapting to the building industry and it’s rules in a new province and networking suppliers and other builders, he elected to venture forth on his own in the building trade.
